Sonu Sood to set up his first oxygen plants at Kurnool and Nellore in Andhra Pradesh – Time Of Hindustan

Bollywood actor, Sonu Sood has continued with his philanthropic works amid the Covid-19 pandemic. This time around, the star is spearheading an initiative to have oxygen plants installed at hospitals in different states. According to the latest reports, work on the first two plants in Kurnool and Nellore, Andhra Pradesh is currently underway.

In his bid to help as many people as possible, Sonu and his team are in the process of setting up the oxygen plants simultaneously at Kurnool Government Hospital and one at the District Hospital, Atmakur, Nellore.

Talking about the initiative, the district collector S.Ramsundar Reddy IAS said, “We are really thankful to Sonu Sood for his humanitarian gesture. The oxygen plant arranged by him will help in treating 150 to 200 Covid patients at Kurnool Government Hospital every day.”

Reacting to the same, Sonu Sood said in a statement, “This is the need of the hour to improve the health care, especially in the rural areas. I feel these plants will help the needy people to fight Covid -19 bravely. After Andhra Pradesh, we will be setting few more plants in few more other states between June & July. Right now, we are identifying the needy hospitals of various states.”

He had acquired the necessary permissions from the municipal commissioner, the collector, and the other relevant authorities.

These oxygen plants at Kurnool and Nellore will be operational from June. They will help provide oxygen to the people of the neighbouring villages as well.
