World Food Safety Day; In the wake of the Corona outbreak, the entire globe came to a halt. Pandemics have occurred before, but never with such deafening stillness. To preserve their lives, all industries were shut down, and individuals were imprisoned in their houses. Most people have difficulty filling their stomachs due to a lack of job. During this time, the notion of food security became increasingly important all throughout the world.
Every year on June 7th, World Food Safety Day is commemorated with the goal of ensuring that no food grain or food goes to waste and that no one goes hungry.In the Corona period, this day has become even more significant. During the pandemic, the Indian government opened the mouths of safe food grains in the country’s godowns and supplied free food grains to the country’s eighty crore people.

More than 5.5 lakh ration card members in Moradabad have benefited from this initiative. As a result, even after months of sitting at home, every house’s stove continued to burn. The government provided food grains for nine months from April to November when the lockdown was imposed following the first wave in 2020.
Following the second wave in 2021, the distribution of free rations has resumed as of May. In Moradabad, 91 thousand 821 tonnes of wheat and rice were provided free of charge from April to November last year. 22 thousand 960 tonnes of food grains were supplied in May and June of this year. Moreover, every
