NEW DELHI: Schedule commercial flight operations are being suspended at airports in cities which might be anticipated to bear the brunt of Cyclone yaas from midnight.
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) stated that Bhubaneswar will be closed from 11 pm on Tuesday until 5 am on Thursday (Could 27); Jharsuguda from 12.01 am on Wednesday until 7.45 am on Thursday. Durgapur and Rourkela airports will be closed on Wednesday. Commercial operations at Kolkata will be suspended from 8.30 am to 7.45 pm on Wednesday.
“The closure will be reviewed as per climate. Airports (have been) directed to perform upkeep to restart operations as quickly as potential, ”the AAI stated in a collection of tweets on Tuesday night time.
