Dhritarashtra asked – O Sanjay, what did my sons and Pandu, who had gathered with the desire of war in Kurukshetra, said, seeing the strategy of the Pandavas army, Duryodhana went near Acharya Drona and said, O Acharya! See how your disciple wise pada putra has created a large army for the Pandavas. In this army, Arjuna, Bhima, the mighty warrior Yuyudhana Virat, Maharathi, Drupada, Dhrishtaketu, Chekitan, the mighty Kashiraj, Parujit Kuntibhoja, the best among men, the mighty Yudhamanyu, the mighty Utmauja, the proud son of Draupadi, are all great. O best brahmin!

Meaning of your remembrance, now I describe the names of the chief generals of my army. You, Bhishma, Karan the war victorious Kripacharya, Ashwathama, Vikarna, Somadatta, The son of Buhari and many brave warriors are ready to lay down their lives for me, these people are very expert in wielding weapons and all are proficient in warfare. Our army, whose Bhishma is the protector, is a big force, now all of you should be careful on your fronts and protect the commander Bhishma.

The Kuruddha Bhishma Pitamah, pleasing Duryodhana and roaring with a loud voice, blew the conch. Then all the four conch shells, drums, dhol, gomukhadi started playing many other instruments, which made a terrible sound. After which Madhav Shri Krishna and Pandava Arjuna, seated on a large chariot of white horses, also blew the divine conch shells. Shri Krishna blew five births and Arjuna blew the conch shell named Devadatta and Bhima, who did the horrific deeds, blew the big heavy conch called Paud. The son of Kunti, King Yudhishthira gave eternal victory, Nukula to Sughosh and Sahadeva Mani Pushpak and Maha Dhanuddara Kashi Raj, Shikhara, Dhrishta Dhumna, Virat the undefeated truth’s King Drupada and Draupadi’s five sons and the great-armed Abhimanyu all these heroes blew their conch shells.

The heavens and the earth reverberated at the heavy sound of those conch shells, and the hearts of the sons of Dhritarashtra trembled. Hey Rajan! Seeing the Kauravas presented for war, Arjun raised his bow and said to Shri Krishna, That O Achyuta, put my chariot between the two armies. So that I may see the fighters with whom I should fight in this land. I will see those who love Duryodhana who have gathered here for the war. Sanjay said, O Rajan! Hearing the words of Arjuna, Shri Krishna raised the perfect chariot in front of the heroes like Bhishma Drona and said that O heroic! Look at these Kauravas waiting for war. Arjuna, seeing uncle, baba, guru, maternal uncle, brother, son, grandson, friend, father-in-law and relatives standing in armed with all his own kinsmen, be extremely compassionate and said with great regret this word – O Krishna! Seeing these my brothers who have come with the desire of war, my limbs have become loose and my mouth is getting dry.

My body is beating. Thrills rise. Gandiv falls from the hand, the skin is getting burnt. Hey Keshav! I do not have the strength to stand here, my mind is spinning and all, I am seeing the opposite symptoms and there will be no benefit in the struggle by killing the kinsmen and O Krishna! I do not want victory, kingdom, and even happiness. Oh, Lord ! We are desired for kingdom, enjoyment and happiness, they are all ready to give up love of life and wealth in this war and if all these teachers, father, son, grandfather, maternal uncle, father-in-law, grandson, brother-in-law and relatives kill me. Oh Madhusudan! I will not wish them to die, O Janadarna! I do not want to kill them even for the kingdom of Triloki, then what to say about the kingdom of this earth. O Janadarna! What will be our good by killing the sons of Dhritarashtra?

Killing these terrorists will only be a sin, so we have to take care of our brothers. It is unfair to kill the sons of Dhritarashtra. Oh Madhav! Can we be happy by killing loved ones? All of them are possessed by greed and do not see the sin in destroying the clan and in the betrayal of friends. Why should we not stay away from this path even after knowing the guilt of total destruction? With the destruction of the clan, the elders of the clan are destroyed, then with the destruction of religion, the sin increases in the family. O Krishna! Due to sin, the women of the clan become adulterous, in which children of Varnashankar are born.

That Varnashankar, the men who have destroyed the clan, and that clan reach hell, because the shraad, tarpan etc. are stopped. The caste religion and clan religion of the bridesmaids are continuously destroyed by the defects that make Varnashankar. Peoples! I have repeatedly heard that by the destruction of the total religion, one definitely has to live in hell.

Hi! We are ready to commit a great sin, those who are trying to kill their relatives out of greed for state happiness, if the son of Dhritarashtra, who is wearing the scriptures, binds me in the battlefield without any scripture and means, then I will be greatly benefited. Sanjay said, O Rajan! Having said this, Arjuna was very sad and at the same time threw his bow and went to the rear of the chariot.
